As the situation in the northwest of our country worsens, Pakistan is facing a humanitarian crisis of catastrophic proportions. As a trusted NGO, CFC is committed to disaster relief work in the country. We are in contact with various not for profit teams on the ground who are keeping us updated on what is needed in the camps. CFC is collecting monetary donations of any kind so that we can help secure the goods needed.

Many well meaning organisations are collecting goods in kind and while most would feel more comfortable with this arrangement, our experience with disaster relief post earthquake has indicated that it is best to allocate funds where needed, rather then flood the area with an array of supplies that may not be used. It is also not logistically sound to transport goods like tea, flour etc from Karachi and far more cost effective to purchase them locally. Flooding the market with free goods also devalues the prices of items in the region leading to a further disenfranchisement of the local vendors.

Your donation will helps us purchase what is most needed and ensure that it gets to those in need. Currently we are collecting funds for medicines and water purification tablets.

This is a separate bank account that will only be utilized to process funds for IDP Relief.

Please make cheques payable to "Concern For Children Trust."
